During WWII, the Dennison Servicemen's Canteen served 1.5 million G.I.s free coffee and smiles at the Dennison Canteen, and earned the town the nickname "DREAMSVILLE U.S.A." Today, this hospitality continues as we invite you to visit our attractions and businesses located on Historic Center Street. At one time, beyond the Depot, Dennison boasted 3,000 employees working in the Railroad Shops and 22 passenger trains a day. Dennison claimed to be among the most extensive railroad shops and yards in the country at the turn of the century. Step back in time, where this nostalgic still exists.
