The Dennison Rotary Club is sponsoring an amageur photography contest in conjunction with the "Railroad Days" Festival, May 13 through 17, at Dennison, Ohio. Proceeds from the contest will be used for community projects in the Dennison/Uhrichsville area.
The contest is open to the public for amateur photographers only (Less than 25% of income derived from photogrphy.)
The contest is divided into 2 divisions, adult and student. The adult division is open to any photographer 18 years of age or older. The student division is open to students up to the age of 18.
Entry fee is $3.00 per photo for adults and $2.00 per photo for students. There is no limit on number of photos you may enter.
All photos must be mounted on mat board no smaller than 8 x 10 or larger than 11 x 14. Due to the limited display space, we cannot accept photos larger than 11 x 14.
Each photo must have the name, address, and phone number of the entrant, photo title, category, and whether adult or student, on the back. Use the entry form below or a fax.
The name of the photographer cannot appear on the front.
Each photo must have been taken by the entrant. Photos can be professionally printed and mounted.
Photo Categories - Animals, Flowers, People, Scenery, and Trains.
Entries will be accepted on Saturday, May 9 at the Dennison Branch of the Claymont Public Library, 15 N. Fourth Street, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The photos will be exhibited at Dennison Library, from Wednesday, May 13 through Monday, May 18 during regular business hours. Photos and prizes must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. on the last day of the contest.
Prizes will be ribbons as well as cash awards and merchandise for each category.
Due care will be taken with all photographs, but the Rotary Club or the library assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage to the photos.
