Music has always been a central part of Moravian worship. In addition to hymns and liturgies in which the congregation paticipates, the John Heckewelder congregation has several specialized opportunities for music ministry.
The chancel Choir provides music for all worship services. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:00. New members are always welcome. Contact the church office or the organist for more information.
The Adult Handbell choir plays at various times throughout the church year, and at travels to other churches and locations to provide special music. Rehearsals are on Mondays from 7:00 to 8:00. The Children's Handbell Choir performs at various times throughout the year. Rehearsals are from 6:00 to 7:00 on Mondays. Please contact the church office for more information.
The Brass Choir performs at various times through the year, special services, and outdoor services. Rehearsals are scheduled as needed prior to each performance. Contact the church office for more information.
