Website Online

Starting in 2007, the church now has a website online. This is an important tool to provide information to our members and anyone else interested in learning about the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church and it's activities. Email the church office with any comments about the church's website.

Organ Now Installed

The organ project draws to a close as the crew from Peebles-Herzog organ company and several volunteers from the church completed the installation of the organ. The pipes were installed on Thursday March 8, and the console work was completed on Friday March 9. Next week will see the final phase of the project which includes a close inspection to make sure that all the mechanical parts are working correctly, tuning, and "tonal finishing," the process of making final adjustments to the pipes to make sure they all speak uniformly. Organ Project

The organ project is now underway! After nearly 40 years since the last overhaul, the church's organ has been showing the effects of age and wear and tear. The church has contracted with the Peebles-Herzog organ company of Columbus, OH for a complete rebuild and expansion of the instrument. Work began on January 8, 2007 with the removal phase of the project. On February 26, 2007, the Peebles-Herzog crew returned with the completed instrument and has begun the installation process. The rebuilt instrument features new foundation stops, and a new, moveable drawknob console.
