The
Tuscarawas County Genealogical Society was formed in 1968 and is a non-profit
organization. We rely solely on dues, book sales and donations for our
support. We do not receive any public money and are not affiliated with the county
or any public library. Any financial contribution is greatly appreciated and will go to
preserve your past.

The society meets monthly, on the second
Research Fees Library Use for Non-Members Since the only income the Tuscarawas County Genealogical Society is from membership and book sales, the library in 2006 decided to raise the library use fee. For non-members the charge will be $3.00 per person or $5.00 per couple per day.
Inquiries Beginning in January 2006 the Society will no longer be able to answer inquires for free. A short search will be conducted for the initial fee of $5.00, plus a 25 cent charge per copy. For this fee, simple questions or retrieval of photocopies of documents are answered for Tuscarawas County. Please enclose a check or money order and a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Questions needing more time, research from the courthouse, newspaper archives, etc are then referred to a paid researcher for further help.
