Mrs. Clough Dies at                                 Wednesday , January 21, 1914
Home in Tyndall
     Mrs. Rachel Clough, age 83, died at her home in Tyndall Tuesday afternoon (January
20,1914) at 12:30 o'clock after an illness of a complication of diseases extending over the
past several months. For the last two weeks, Mrs. Clough's condition was such that
death was almost hourly expected.
     Mrs. Clough was a widow of William Clough, a well known minister and life-long
resident of the Tyndall vicinity, who preceded her to the grave fourteen years ago.
     During her last illness, Mrs. Clough was cared for by a grandson and his wife Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Clough. Eight children survive. They are: Stephen Clough of Indiana,
Thomas, Harry, and William Clough, Mrs. J.B. Stubbs, Mrs. Charles Woods, Mrs. Caleb
Berry, and Mrs. John Tharp all of Coshocton.
     No funeral arrangements had been made Tuesday evening but it is probable that the
service will be held at Warner Chapel where Mrs. Clough was a member for many years.

Former Coshocton Man Dies
at Son's Home in Malvern

     Henry "Doc" Clough died at 4 p.m. Monday at the home of a son, B.E.
Clough, Mavern, after a year's illness with complications. He was 75.
     A former Coshocton miner, he moved to Malvern in 1921, returning here
two years ago to make his home with a daughter, Mrs. J. L. McCormick, 228
N. Fourteenth st.
     Born in this city, June 16, 1865, he was a member of Warner Chapel M.
E. church. His wife died two years ago.
     Surviving are four sons, W. C. Clough of Dennison, J.E. Clough of
Waynesburg, T.A. of Fresno, and B.E. of Malvern; the daughter, Mrs.
McCormick; 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs.
Catherine Stubbs, Route 5; Mrs. Mae Wood, of Coshocton; and mrs. Rachel
Tharp, Gnadenhutten. Three brother are deceased.
     Short funeral services will be held at the home of the son in Malvern at 2
p.m. Wednesday in charge of Rev. E. M. Sheesley. The body will be brought
to the Dawson funeral home here for final rites at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial
will be made in South Lawn Cemetery.

   Stephen Clough, aged 64, (died at ) his home on South Eighth...Monday
evening of Brights(disease)...Mr. Clough had been in poor...for some time, but

      He is survived by four....four daughters: John, Geo....Stephen Jr., of

Funeral Friday at
Charles Wood Home

     Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the home of his sister and
brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wood, of Pleasant Valley, for Thomas
J. Clough, aged 74, Pleasant Valley, who died Tuesday from influenza.
     Burial will be made in South Lawn Cemetery.
     Mr. Clough was born in Durham-co, England, on June 20, 1847. He came
to this country when only three months old and has resided in this county
ever since. His wife preceded him to the grave ten years ago.
    To this union were born three children, two of which died in infancy and
one son, William Clough, who is now living in Cleveland.
     The following brothers and sisters survive: William Clough of Coshocton;
Mrs. Caleb Berry, of this city; Mrs. John Tharp, of Pleasant Valley; Mrs.
George Shearn, of Conesville, and and Mrs.J. B. Stubbs, of Coshocton Route
5 and Mrs. Charles Wood, of Pleasant Valley.
