  SAMUEL I. WISE DIES IN MISSOURI
 Samuel I. Wise, 84, whose recent death was mentioned briefly in these
colmns last week, was a son of the late William and Mary Wise, and was
born January 11, 1844, near Newcomerstown where he grew to manhood.
 In 1861 he enlisted in the 125th Ohio Volunteers and served four years
until he was wounded and honorably discharged.
 He was married to Miss Sarah Norris in April 1872, who preceded him
in death January 21, 1921.  Five children were born to them.
 He left Ohio in 1881 and moved with his family to a farm near Ottumwa, Iowa;  from which place he moved to Caldwell county, Missouri,
in 1886.  Came to Cameron in 1918, where he lived until he peacefully
passed away April 3, 1928.
 For the last two years he was a great sufferer from rheumatism.  He
bore his suffering with fortitude and patience.
 He was married December 25, 1923 to Mrs. May Wood who survives
him.
 Besides his wife he leaves one sister, Mrs. Sadie DeLong of
Vincennes, Indiana, four children, Mrs. McCoy Umstottt, H.E. and C.E.
Wise of Cameron, and Mrs. Mary Howerton of Creal Springs, Illinois.  One
daughter, Lulu Lois, died in infancy.  There are also four grandchildren.
